This passion has since expanded, recognising the need to support children’s development beyond sport. When Charlie became a father, he saw first-hand the challenges working parents face and the need for practical, high-quality childcare solutions. This personal insight, combined with his enduring commitment to children’s well-being, was the driving force behind the creation of uKids. His vision is to broaden the uGroup’s positive impact, ensuring more children have an enriching and positive experience throughout their childhood, while offering essential support to families.

With a background as a qualified teacher, Steph understands the vital importance of high-quality childcare and nurturing environments for children. This educational foundation deeply informs her approach to business operations. Steph oversees the operational and creative development of the uGroup, focusing on efficiency and effective implementation. For uKids, her expertise ensures that the childcare and wraparound services are not only robust in terms of child well-being and education, but also run seamlessly and efficiently, providing reliable and structured support for both children and their families.
Beyond our core uKids leadership team, our success is a collaborative effort. A dedicated team from across the wider uGroup supports uKids behind the scenes, while our passionate Site Managers and Activity Leaders make sure every child has a positive, engaging and safe experience, every single day.
